Teaching
The delivery of undergraduate teaching in Cambridge is primarily through the Tripos system, allowing flexibility and academic choice by allowing students to construct their own degree programme within a broad academic area. The Geographical Tripos, the Mathematical Tripos and the Natural Sciences Tripos – covering the majority of science subjects taught at Cambridge including Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Astronomy and Earth Sciences – operate within the School.
Responsibility for the organisation of undergraduate teaching in the School rests with the three Faculty Boards:
- Faculty Board of Physics and Chemistry
- Faculty Board of Earth Sciences and Geography
- Faculty Board of Mathematics
